The staff here are absolutely wonderful and they are raising some great dogs!! Everyone here is so passionate about their work and seeing veterans with a service animal is life changing. I went to one of the dog graduation ceremonies and immediately fell in love with this place. Just submitted my application to volunteer and can't wait to get more involved 🙂

Freedom Service Dogs of America I can’t say enough good things about them to actually show how much gratitude I have for this wonderful organization. I feel I am living again with the help of my sweet Dahlia she helps me get out in the world. When we return home Dahlia is the first to enter to turn the lights on and scan the area for me. Thank you so much without this organization Dahlia would never had entered my life.

Application process is rigorous but fair and is for the safety of both the potential client and the dog. Dogs are thoroughly trained and provide needed assistance to disabled handlers. No cost to the client if you're accepted but there is a 2-3 year waiting period until you are matched with a dog suitable for you. Very reputable organization.

I am a non-combat veteran with service related disabilities who was matched with my battle buddy Cypress last week. Throughout the application process Freedom Service Dogs has been open and transparent. I started class last week with five diverse vets with similar life challenges, and while it is demanding, class has been fun. Brenna and Jenny picked up that I am a visual learner and adjusted the content for me, which I appreciate. When I'm having a rough patch there is plenty of support to help me process my emotions and move back into a learning zone.
I can recommend Freedom Service Dogs if you are vet and need help managing your symptoms with 100% assurance. Please do not hesitate to seek relief by use of a fur buddy! I can't wait to see what my life leads to now.
