Espectacular! Las carnes, la ensalada de repollo (cole slaw), el pan? Todos riquísimos. El pan de maíz y las habichuelas dulces? De otro planeta. Sabroso!

Found this place off the beaten path on my Ambo travels and had the best meal I have had in a restaurant for a VERY, VERY long time.

Decor was great. Waitress was AMAZING!! She made me feel like part of the family!! I can't say enough about the food!! Price was great so I had: ice tea, melt in my mouth brisket, awesome bbq sauce, Yummy baked beans, perfect Collard Greens and OMG!!! The cornbread!! It was soo good I got collards, sweet potato, chorro beans and more cornbread to go! Every item had absolutely excellent flavor! This family owned restaurant has perfected their menu!!

We have been coming here for a few years now. My husband picked up our food tonight and he had a baked potato and I had sweet. Both cold. Both of us got brisket and you see how that came out. No juices very very dry and cold. He did not get his baked beans and my okra looked like they fried it twice but it was cold. On top of that my husband tipped for a pick up. Very disappointed.

I had the beef brisket lunch special with salad, baked beans, and collard greens, and everything was absolutely delicious! The beef brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful. While the baked beans were just okay, the side salad was super fresh and collard greens—some of the best I’ve had in years—more than made up for it.

I came with my co-workers for lunch, and even though they weren’t too busy, our waitress, Olivia, made the experience outstanding. She was so attentive and even refilled my drink without me having to ask—talk about great service! The new owner also came by to check in on our table, and it was such a delight to meet him.

We also indulged in a few desserts, and they were out of this world. The apple cobbler and lemon meringue pie are must-haves!

On top of it all, the meal was very affordable—not just for one person, but it would be a great option for families too.

I’ll definitely be back again, even if it means making the trip from Tampa. Highly recommend this place!

I never understood why someone would buy a successful business with a proven plan and then change it and that is what HH has done, they have done away with the “all you can” specials, pricing has gone up, food quality has gone down. Good news they kept on one good Server who is the soul reason this rating is getting 4 stars. they were out of Brisket and Collard greens, everyone in the kitchen was young and skinny , not veteran style bbq chefs. i ordered ribs , they tasted ok, but they looked like they had been sitting in a warming tray for 3 days. they have been in business since July so they have had the opportunity to fix things… i might give them another try . But honestly if they don’t fix things and quick Brandon won’t support a half a$$ attempt at BBQ.

Slow kitchen, poorly trained kitchen workers. Serves burnt food and cold food. Hungry Harry’s was better and didn’t have a ridiculous menu. Too much for kitchen to handle. No manager on site on Sunday evening. So nice they took off the food I didn’t eat. ?

BEWARE!! This location is not the Hungry Harrys Famous BBQ anymore, it is a new restaurant with a similar name called H&H family BBQ. We went there today thinking it was Hungry Harrys but got to know that it's a new restaurant at the same location. (got deceived by the name)
Anyhow we decided to give it a try as we travelled about half an hour from home. Got the 2 meat platter.
Their portion sizes were big, however,
the food was too salty, not seasoned well and their sauces were awful.

Went to get lunch, we waited over 25 minutes for our food. We finally left without eating. I’ll add that the restaurant was basically empty when we got there, and of the people who were there, most of them already had their food. While we were leaving we watched another family have a billing issue and the manager/ owner/ person in charge didn’t seem too friendly or talkative. We both commiserated that it just isn’t the same anymore. They were also out of brisket and they no longer do the all you can eat specials.

Our waitress was kind and she was trying her best but I could see she was frustrated too.

I cannot understand what happened when the new owners took over but it sucks because this place was one of the BEST BBQ restaurants in Tampa. Don’t waste your time, just go across the street to Kojacks.
